To protect the good health and happiness of our current cat residents, these
new cats must receive medical and personality evaluations in a space separate
from the resident cats’ living areas. These evaluations will ensure we properly
treat any contagious condition, begin a support regime for chronic conditions,
and allow quiet, supervised recovery of health after treatments or surgeries.
In addition, time in the separate building will provide us the opportunity to
get to know the unique personalities of each new cat. This will help us
determine the most appropriate way to integrate the new resident into our
general population ensuring all our cats remain happy and safe.
