THE
GOATHOUSE
REFUGE

Resident cats
Part of our Vision here at the Goathouse Refuge is to provide a loving, healthy, long-term and even permanent home for any cat that needs it.

There are a number of feral cats, a few that have special medical needs and some that for whatever reason may not adopt out well but are very happy here. We let them stay, we love them and care for them. They do represent a considerable part of the costs of running the Refuge and we need sponsors to help with that.

This wonderful cat is Wilbur, our resident curmudgeon. Wilbur likes his habitat just so, fresh water in the biggest bowl you have please and don't forget my pillow, if you want to pet me use the feather duster, you know how sensitive I am, please don't bang my doors and yes, I like to pee about 20 times a day so check that litter box would you? Wilbur is the fussiest, sweet, grumpy old man we know and we all love him. We don't consider him adoptable because the constant water consumption may indicate an underlying condition, whether it's diabetes or just nervousness, we haven't been able to isolate the problem, nor correct it. So Wilbur lives here in the Refuge and we expect to keep him happy and healthy his entire life.

Consider sponsoring Wilbur with your donation, or any of our other resident cats. A
contribution of $15 for one week or $60 for one month will provide food, veterinary care, and litter for your new friend, and greatly help the Refuge continue to operate.
