Thanks to Maddie for 100 Adoption Kits and an Awesome Original Book!

We would like to send out a tremendous thank you to one of our young volunteers, Maddie . Maddie is in Girl Scout Troop 3064 and has been working towards her Gold Award, which is the highest award a girl scout can earn. Maddie decided that for her project she would put together adoption kits to be given to the adopters when they come to finalize their adoption and take home their new kitty.

She hosted a charity drive to collect items for Adoption Kits for the Goathouse Refuge, which included cat toys, cat treats, and litter scoops. Also included in the kits is an original Cat Care book, written and illustrated by Maddie, “The Guide to Purrfect Cat Parenting (Or, How Your Cat Takes Care of You)”. Yesterday Maddie delivered 100 kits to the Goathouse!! Domino and Diesel’s new family were the first recipients yesterday of this amazing gift.

Maddie put so much work and talent into this project and we are honored she chose the Goathouse Refuge to highlight in her book and receive the kits. She did an incredible job!
