Posey
Back to Gallery
Adult, Female, Domestic Short Hair
Posey was rescued from the Gaston County animal shelter in 2020, along with her kittens Yarrow, Jasper, Ryder, Flint, and Pastel. Initially, Posey was extremely fearful of her human caretakers and would hiss and retreat when approached by people. With time, she gradually grew more comfortable around people, allowing gentle pets on the head and no longer hissing or retreating in fear. Because she still gets nervous around people and especially when confronted with stressful situations such as noisy or very busy, active environments, we feel she'd do best in a home where there isn't too much high-level activity. Posey was such a good mom to her babies and deserves to find a supportive forever home of her own, too, where she can be spoiled and adored by her very own family!
