Michael (Sponsored)

Senior, Male, Domestic Short Hair

Michael and his siblings Kendall (adopted) and Ariadne were picked up as strays, and Michael was not too pleased at first about having been caught (and about getting neutered almost immediately afterwards). Although he can be skittish at times, Michael is slowly coming around - getting shelter, food, toys, and love isn't so bad after all! Michael would love to be adopted with his sister or go to a home with another kitty so he will never have to be alone. He would do best in a patient home, where he can seek out affection on his own terms. Approx. DOB: 07/01/2013

'Sponsored' means that Michael's adoption fee has been donated by a generous volunteer, so you can take him home for free - and spend that saved adoption fee on toys, food and litter!

If interested in adopting from the Goathouse Refuge, please plan to take the following steps required in our adoption process:
1. Come for a Visit: No appointment necessary: just drop by during our normal visiting hours of noon - 3 PM. We're open seven days a week, including holidays, though if visiting during the week we ask that you call our office in advance at (919) 542-6815 and confirm availability of our staff.
2. Complete our online application: Visit our website (click link above of go to www.goathouserefuge.org under the 'adopt' tab).
3. Home Visit: All adoption applications will be reviewed by the refuge staff, and if the applicant seems to be a good fit for the cat(s) of interest, the refuge will contact the interested party to set up a home visit. Only after a representative of the refuge conducts a home visit then consider continuing with the adoption process.
