Lucinda is a pretty tortoiseshell girl who is not yet taken by the idea of letting herself be socialized. She prefers to keep her distance from people and would love to find a safe situation where she can find food and shelter and yet enjoy the freedom she so much craves. And sometimes, our feral cats decide that they were never really feral, just very shy and scared of people. We don't know if this will happen for Lucinda, but we are happy that she has found a home at the Goathouse, and we'd consider placing her with someone who understands her limitations and can provide a similar environment. Lucinda is a cat for experienced cat owners only who understand patience, cat communication/body language and the need to allow the cat to bloom and bond 100% at their own pace over time. The home environment needs to be peaceful and tranquil, with no children under the age of 16. In addition to unrestricted access to a warm, safe home environment, Lucinda also requires safe restricted access to the outdoors - for example, a screened porch or safe outdoor area with cat-proof fencing - so she cannot wander away from the safety and care of the home.
