Charlie Brown Cats are some of the most special cats at the Goathouse!

Remember Charlie Brown in the Peanuts comic strip? He was the great little guy that was sincere, polite, and nice and always tried to do his best for everyone. But he never got picked for the team or otherwise was always left out. Then you would see him left alone, sad, and disappointed. This was not at all because he was not good enough, or that there was something wrong with him. This was simply the character of Charlie Brown.

We have about 80 Charlie Brown cats at the Goathouse. These are the cats that, year after year, have remained at the Goathouse and have yet to find their forever family. The reason is not hard to find. You may think otherwise, but humans never choose cats; cats always choose their humans. Charlie Brown cats are not assertive. They don’t seek visitors out and actively claim them for their own. Charlie Brown cats are a little timid; they need to be sought out. They are also very loving and would flourish with a loving family.
