Giving Tuesday Thank You!

We would like to thank everyone who opened up their heart today on this Giving Tuesday and donated or became a sustainer.
This year of uncertainty definitely hit the Goathouse hard but you stepped up and are helping us get through. We saw people who were stuck at home during this pandemic, for the first time decide to adopt a new friend and are now enjoying the amazing bond and benefits a kitty can add to your life.
With your support we were able to rescue over 100 kittens this year during a never-ending kitten season and with the help of our wonderful partner Cat Tales Cat Cafe, almost all of them have been adopted. We also shed tears of joy this year as 10 of our senior cats finally found their forever homes. Geo came to the Goathouse in 2009 at 10 months old and patiently waited for his family to come for 4064 days, that’s 11 years and 1 month! At almost 12 years old Geo saw his person finally walk through the door and now he is experiencing a loving home for the rest of his senior days. Tabitha came to the Goathouse in 2010 and lived with us for 10 years and 5 months before she was finally adopted at almost 12 years old. Mustache joined the Goathouse kitties in 2013 and after 7 years was finally chosen at 15 years old to have a loving family of her own.
These kitties were able to enjoy the safety of living at the refuge all these years because of YOUR support. It takes money, supplies, staff, and volunteers to keep the Goathouse going and we cannot do it without you! Please tell your friends about us and share our mission with other animal lovers you know. We hope to see you at the Goathouse one of these days when things get a little bit back to normal. But until then, if you haven’t donated there is still time and if you have, thank you for all the feline souls that you have touched by helping us to help them.
